About the Artist

Christine Meyer comes to painting as a way to decompress from the rigors of daily life.  She classifies her work as suggestive abstraction, hoping to elicit reactions from her viewers that resonate with their own experiences.

An academic as well as an artist, Meyer has a bachelor's in philosophy from Princeton University; a master of fine art in film and TV from New York University; and a master of arts in religion from Westminster Theological Seminary.  In addition, she teaches Latin and English in a public high school.

Her work encompasses these varied backgrounds, incorporating ideas from each avenue of her life.

A lover and follower of Jesus, she has recently begun experimenting with encaustics to affirm His Lordship and to encourage His worship.  These works will be posted once they are viewable!
